2. Scope and products
“Zizania” creates handmade objects through the creative reuse (upcycling) of materials such as wood, metal and fabric. Each product is handmade and unique. As a result, there may be slight variations in colour, texture or dimensions compared to the photographs, which are a natural feature of handmade objects and not a defect.
We make every effort to ensure that product information and photographs are as accurate as possible.
3. Prices and VAT
All prices shown in the store are in euros (€) and include VAT of 24%. Shipping costs are calculated and shown separately at checkout.
We reserve the right to change product prices at any time. The price that applies to your order is the one shown at the moment you complete it.
4. Placing an order
To place an order, add the products to your cart and follow the checkout steps. After submitting, you will receive a confirmation email with your order details. This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of the order, but notice that we have received it. The sales contract is considered concluded upon dispatch of the products.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in case of stock shortage, an error in the price or description of a product, or inability to verify your details. In such a case we will inform you and refund any amount paid.
5. Payment methods
You can pay for your order using one of the following methods:
- Debit / Credit card through the secure Stripe and PayPal systems.
- Bank transfer to the cooperative’s account (details are provided at checkout). The order is shipped once the transfer is confirmed.
- Cash on pickup from our workshop, only if you have selected workshop pickup as your shipping method.
Card payments are processed through Stripe and PayPal with secure encryption. “Zizania” does not store your card details.
6. Shipping and delivery
The available shipping methods are:
- Shipping via ELTA throughout Greece, at a cost of €6.00 (including VAT).
- Free shipping for orders of €80.00 and above.
- Pickup from the workshop in Moria, Lesvos, free of charge.
Orders are shipped within a reasonable time after payment is confirmed. Because the products are handmade, during periods of high demand some extra preparation time may be needed, for which we will keep you informed.
7. Right of withdrawal and returns
You have a right of withdrawal within 14 days under applicable law. The detailed terms, exceptions and procedure are described in our Returns Policy.
8. Intellectual property
All content on zizania.gr (texts, photographs, designs, logos, graphics and the design of the site) is the intellectual property of Koin.S.Ep. “Zizania” or its collaborating creators and is protected by Greek and European law. Reproduction, copying or use without our written permission is prohibited.
9. Liability
We make every effort to keep the store running smoothly, without however guaranteeing that it will operate uninterrupted or error free. We are not liable for any damage arising from temporary interruption of operation, technical problems or reasons of force majeure.
10. Personal data
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which we encourage you to read.
11. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Mytilene have jurisdiction over any dispute. In case of a dispute, you may also refer to the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
12. Amendment of terms
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. The applicable terms are those published on this page.
